Betsy Fisher Albaugh started the business in 1988. Her husband Lyle abandoned the law and joined her four years later, but only their two daughters consider it a Mom and Pop operation. Shopping with Betsy requires stamina and a willingness to try just about every item in the store, since each is a pet and deserves one’s scrutiny.
